This bridesmaid dress was made to accompany the Fantasy Wedding Dress in this Gallery. The bride wanted her bridesmaids to represent the four elements- earth, water, air, and fire. She chose the color schemes and fabrics, and provided me with a sketch of her design ideas. The dress is made of crepe-backed satin, and lined in bridal satin. The overskirt is made from iridescent silk chiffon. Satin ribbons decorate the short puffy sleeves, as well as the empire waistline. The satin ribbon at the waistline ties in a bow at the back. This dress is a navy blue color, with a green/blue iridescent silk chiffon overskirt. The colors are meant to represent the ocean, and thus tie this dress to the elemental theme of Water.
